Mission Sideboard Details

Our sideboard provides storage for extra table leaves and settings. The top can be used for decorations, serving, or as a piece to balance off one of our hutches on an opposite wall. The cabinet will safely store away the table leaves when your family is not using them. Simply open the cabinet door and the leaves are slide off the pegs they rest on, ready to expand your table to seat the whole extended family.

Our mission sideboards are individually handcrafted by Amish craftsman. Each sideboard is created from 100% solid hardwood. We use only genuine hardwoods -- there is no pine, plywood filler, pressed wood, "select hardwoods" or veneers used in our mission hutches.

Hickory Characteristics

Hickory is a very hard, dense wood with dark and light patches intermixed. Its fine grain and unique, varigated coloration ranges from medium blonde to brown. The color variation in hickory is substantial. Hickory will take on amber tones over time. This color change is moderate. Its species name is Carya Ovata. Its Janka rating (hardness and resistance to scrapes, gouges and cuts) is 1820, making it the strongest commonly available hardwood.

Choosing an Hickory Finish

We offer a variety of stains and finishes for our hickory sideboards. Please click here for details on the available hickory finish options.

If you're unsure about the finish for your sideboard, we encourage you to order wood samples. Color accuracy on our website cannot be assured due to a number of variables including lighting, the camera used, and the settings on your computer monitor.

Our 100% Quality Guarantee

Each sideboard is created by hand by Amish master craftsmen and is carefully inspected individually prior to shipping to assure its quality.

To assure this quality, we offer a full money back guarantee and a full one year warranty against defects on our servers.
