Mission Sideboard Details
Our sideboard provides storage for extra table leaves and settings. The top can be used for decorations, serving, or as a piece to balance off one of our hutches on an opposite wall. The cabinet will safely store away the table leaves when your family is not using them. Simply open the cabinet door and the leaves are slide off the pegs they rest on, ready to expand your table to seat the whole extended family.
Our mission sideboards are individually handcrafted by Amish craftsman. Each sideboard is created from 100% solid hardwood. We use only genuine hardwoods -- there is no pine, plywood filler, pressed wood, "select hardwoods" or veneers used in our mission hutches.
Mixed Hardwood Characteristics
Mixed Hardwood sideboards are created from Cherry and Walnut, or Maple and Walnut. These two combinations create the best contrast from the natural colors of the hardwoods.
In the standard design mixed hardwood design, walnut is used as the dominant wood. The lighter wood (cherry or maple) in the interior panels (doors). We can modify this, with walnut being the panel wood -- please let us know if this is your preference when you place your order.
Choosing an Mixed Hardwood Finish
We can finish our mixed sideboards in one of three ways: Unfinished, Natural (clear varnish) and Traditional Oil and Wax. Please click here for details on these finish options.
If you're unsure about the wood choice or finish for your sideboard, we encourage you to order wood samples. Color accuracy on our website cannot be assured due to a number of variables including lighting, the camera used, and the settings on your computer monitor.

Shipping and Packaging
Our mission sideboards take 4-6 weeks to create. Shipping time is 1-3 weeks for delivery.
Dining sideboards are shipped via 'Inside the Home Delivery and Setup'. Please click here for more details on our shipping procedures.
9 times out of 10, our pieces are completed and delivered within this timeframe. However, true craftsmanship cannot be rushed -- sometimes a piece just takes a bit longer. Please let us know if there is an important holiday or event we should be aware of when you place your order, and we will do our best to get it there on time.
Hardware Choice
We offer several standard hardware choices: Standard Mission CMV 433, Rustic Mission CMV 407, Antique Rust A27005 ART and Oil Rubbed Bronze A04235 ORB. We can also install custom hardware if you send it to us.
Sideboard Slats
You may choose to have mission slats on your sideboard, or to have a sideboard made that is closer to the trestle mission style (without slats). You can see a photo of this difference by clicking here.
