Oak Wood Sample - Blackened Finish

Oak Wood Sample - Blackened Finish

Blackened Oak

Blackened Oak uses a deep stain on natural red oak, giving the deep, mysterious color found on antiques. The grain and heartwood begin to meld together.

Blackened Oak displays some variation in color, and may not match the wood sample quite as well as our other stain choices.

Oak Hardwood

With age, its color will change take on minor amber tones. This is a minor change in color. Its species name is Quercus Rubra. Its Janka rating (hardness and resistance to scrapes, gouges and cuts) is 1260.
