Marty's Family
Marty lives across the road from the family farm where Rick's mother grew up. Marty has grown up making cedar chests and has been working with Harmony Cedar from the beginning. He has years of experience hand-crafting heirloom quality chests. He has the knowledge of selecting the right pieces of wood for each chest, drying them to prevent warping, and gluing the wood tight and solid to last long. The cedar chests are built to order, taking the care to construct the joints and install the safety hinges.
He also is responsible for packaging the chests for UPS shipping. This experience is valuable to meet UPS guidelines and minimize shipping damage.
Eight years of experience with Harmony Cedar providing hundreds of cedar chests to satisfied customers. Marty specializes in the Hope, Classic, Mission, Shaker, Dowry and Harmony style chests.
Special Note: On January 22, Marty & Wilma welcomed a new addition to their family...a baby girl was born at home using a mid-wife. The weather last week was cold and icy. The new addition, weighing over 10#, was born in the stove heated home with her two little brothers. Mother and daughter are doing fine.
