This item is a highly crafted quarter-sawn oak table, but it is no plain table!This is a chess table!

It is exquisitely crafted by our Amish craftsman who have generations-long traditions working with wood. The wood is locally and sustainably grown and all the hardware is American made. This table comes with a folding top that hides the inlaid walnut chess table when not in use and protects its beauty and surface.

When folded, this table is useful as an end table or any other use, the square measuring 19.75" long each side.

Fully opened, the beautiful texture of the walnut inlaid chess table is revealed. The finish is "Autumn Finish". There is ample room for the players to sit and enjoy a match, and indeed for speactators to gather around and contemplate the strategy and next moves (but no cheating, please :-))

The open table is a square measuring 27.75" each side (and 39" diagonally measured.)

The weight is approximately 70lbs. and it is 28.5" in height when open. When the tabletop is folded, the table is 29.75" high.
