Your bed is hand-crafted from solid wood by a Harmony Cedar Amish craftsman.

We have many more colors available. To help you decide on a wood and a finish, individual wood samples and wood sample color collections are available for purchase.

Harmony Cedar beds are solid, durable and sturdy.
  • The solid wood construction is built for your box springs, mattresses or other types of bedding.
  • Beautiful and functional headboards and foot boards are joined together by simple hardwood sideboards.
  • Solid unfinished Hard Maple cross slats connect the sideboards and provide solid support for the bed.
  • We can also add supports for plus size customers.
  • The hardware joining the frame together is durable American-made joinery.
Marty is our bed maker and has made all styles and sizes of beds over the years.
Our beds are solid and tight, not loose and rickety. Real wood. Real satisfaction.

Standard Bed Slat System

  • Unfinished Maple
  • Our bed supports or slats are a T-slat, not a flat board to ensure that it stays in place.
  • Five slats is the standard regardless of size of bed.
  • For extra support, choose 13 slats or 18 slats as an option on any size bed for extra support.
  • If you desire a platform bed, without using a box spring, we recommend that you chose the 13 or 18 slat option.

Hardware

  • Our American made hardware is from Ohio.
  • Cast iron hardware on the size rails.
  • Lag bolts into the headboard/footboard.

Sizing

  • Great Plains Mission Headboard height: 46 in.
  • Great Plains Mission Footboard height: 31 in.
  • Standard height from the floor to the top of the slats is 10-11 inches.
  • Standard height to to side board/rail is 7 inches.

Shipping and Packaging

We do not use regular commercial shippers for most of our beds and bedroom sets. Most are delivered by Simon or Jake, with other shipments to your region of the country, without packaging and handled with care. A best minimum estimate for a bed curbside by Jake/Simon is $250. A bed room set will generally run $400 -$600 for shipping.
